    The Reason Wide Receiver CJ Smith Announces Transfer Destination…

    Following Georgia’s game against FSU, the players’ decisions to declare for the 2024 NFL draft began to come in. Offensive lineman Sedrick Van Pran has joined the list of players who have declared.

    Initially, there was a lot of silence around the Georgia football program regarding the players’ decisions to make their decisions known to the public.

    The most recent development on that front is the announcement made by wide receiver CJ Smith of his intention to move to Purdue.

    This offseason, he will be joining Nyland Green, De’Nylon Morrissette, and CJ Madden as Bulldog transfers to Purdue. This is a live report of the roster changes as they occur, as players will be announcing their intentions in the next few days and weeks.

    Entries through the Georgia Transfer Portal: Kicker Jared Zirkel declared his intention to join Texas A&M, while wide receiver Jackson Meeks declared his intention to join Syracuse. Quarterback Brock Vandagriff plans to attend Kentucky.

    CJ Madden of EDGE declared his intention to move to Purdue. Jackson Meeks, a wide receiver, has declared that he will use the transfer portal after his last year of eligibility. Jonathan Jefferson declared his intention to move to SMU. EDGE, Darris Smith: Announced plans to transfer before the portal opened.

    will become a Tiger in Missouri by transfer. Nyland Green, a DB, declared his intention to move to Purdue. WR Mekhi Mews declared he would use the transfer portal. LB EJ Lightsey declared his intention to attend Georgia Tech.

    OL Austin Blaske declared his intention to join UNC. Yazeed Haynes, WR, declared his move to Syracuse. LB Jamon Dumas Johnson declared that he was moving to Kentucky. LB Xavian Sorey committed to Arkansas after entering the transfer portal; AJ Harris did the same. OL Joshua Miller declared that he was going to Syracuse. OL Aliou Bah has declared his intention to move to Maryland.

    WR CJ Smith made Purdue his new home. RB Sevaughn Clark declared his intention to use the transfer website. Purdue will receive WR De’Nylon Morrissette as a transfer.

    Tate Ratledge, the original, will be back in 2024. For the 2024 season, Xavier Truss and Sedrick Van Pran OT will be back.

    Reports state that Smael Mondon, DE, Chazz Chambliss LB, Zion Logue DT, Warren Brinson OLB, and Tramel Walthour DT will be back in 2024.
