Although Brian Gutekunst is busy this offseason, he most likely
likes this year over the previous one.
Consider this: a year ago, everyone was speculating about the potential trade of Aaron Rodgers.
Thank God, however, there isn’t a narrative like this year. Brian Gutekunst’s only task for this season is to figure out how to use this year’s crucial draft class and prudent free agent spending to keep his young, promising roster developing ahead of schedule.
I’m sure Gutekunst prefers this type of offseason over one where he has to handle the transition away from a Hall of Fame quarterback, even if that has its issues. While it’s difficult to characterize any offseason as regular, the Packers are at least able to concentrate on players who will be on their roster come fall as they prepare for the NFL Combine.
