The premier player for the Dallas Mavericks, Luka Doncic, is still rehabilitating from the hamstring injury he suffered against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. He could now end up missing his second consecutive game.
Doncic’s availability for Sunday’s Mavericks game against the Denver Nuggets is still unknown.

As of right now, Doncic’s status for Sunday’s game against the Nuggets and his close friend Nikola Jokic is officially categorized as questionable. The Slovenian sensation appears to be making progress in his recuperation, but he still has left hamstring tightness.
According to Grant Afseth of DallasBasketball.com, Doncic actually took part in Saturday’s practice, which is encouraging for the team in their aspirations of having their superstar back as soon as possible.
In case you missed it, Doncic’s injury happened during the fourth quarter of the Warriors game. Head coach Jason Kidd claims that the star scorer signaled to him that he was experiencing some hamstring discomfort, which is what caused him to leave the game.
Concerns regarding Doncic’s injury and its seriousness abounded, particularly after the 25-year-old missed the Mavericks’ trip to play the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday.

Thankfully, Doncic appears to be progressing well in his recuperation and possible comeback. But let’s hope he can get in time to see the Nuggets, who are trying to move up the Western Conference standings and out of the Play-In.
As of this writing, the Mavs have a 38-29 record, good for the eighth seed in the Western Conference. The Sacramento Kings, who are ranked sixth, are only one game behind them.

Unfortunately, the Dallas Mavericks have other worries before Sunday’s game in addition to Luka Doncic’s injury. Dante Exum and Josh Green have been added to the team’s list of injuries.
Exum, like Luka Doncic, is uncertain to play in their game against the Denver Nuggets due to a right plantar fascia sprain. Josh Green has already been ruled out due to a right ankle sprain that he is currently treating.
Having said that, it will be imperative that Doncic is available to play against the Nuggets. Should he decide to sit out once more, the Mavericks may be in for a second straight loss.
Although they have battled the Thunder for the top spot in the NBA, the Nuggets are now the greatest club in the league.
