Christie Sides was named the new head coach of the Indiana Fever on Friday.
She most recently served as an assistant for the Atlanta Dream during the 2022 campaign. She held a variety of coaching positions at the collegiate and international levels during the 20 years prior, most notably as an assistant coach with the Indiana Fever in 2018 and 2019.
Fever President Dr. Allison Barber said in a statement, “We are thrilled to have someone with Christie’s experience and record of accomplishment bringing our young athletes to the next level.” “Coach Sides embodies our Fever ideals and values.” She is a dedicated worker, a formidable opponent on the court, and a valuable member of our community.
The squad the Sides take over has a 44.2% probability of being taken first overall in the 2023 WNBA draft, having finished with an 11-57 record in the previous two seasons.
