Christie Sides has been named head coach of the Indiana Fever, a WNBA franchise, according to Matthew Vantryon of the Indianapolis Star.

On Friday, Christie Sides was announced as the Indiana Fever’s new head coach.
Her most recent position was as the Atlanta Dream’s assistant during the 2022 campaign. In the 20 years before, she has held a number of coaching roles at the collegiate and international levels, most notably as the Indiana Fever’s assistant coach in 2018 and 2019.
“We are happy to have someone with Christie’s experience and record of accomplishments taking our young athletes to the next level,” Fever President Dr. Allison Barber said in a statement. “Coach Sides personifies the ideas and values of Fever.” She is a great member of our community, a hard worker, and a formidable opponent on the court.
With an 11-57 record in the past two seasons, the team the Sides take over has a 44.2% chance of being selected first overall in the 2023 WNBA draft.
