Promoter Frank Warren says Tyson Fury is better at taking advantage of any vulnerability, but Oleksandr Usyk will go for a cut.
Promoter Frank Warren is confident Tyson Fury will win the undisputed heavyweight championship fight by knockout when he strikes Oleksandr Usyk in the body, despite worries that Usyk will aim for Fury’s cut.
Tyson Fury needs to be the “best version” of himself to defeat Oleksandr Usyk in their undisputed heavyweight match in May, according to a former WBO cruiserweight champion
Promoter Frank Warren has warned Oleksandr Usyk that he will go after Tyson Fury’s cut.
Earlier in the year, Fury and Usyk were scheduled to square off for the undisputed heavyweight world championship. But Fury’s cut during practice forced them to postpone the fight.
On May 18, they will now compete for the combined WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBF belts.
Promoter Frank Warren of Queensberry Promotions shares his opinions on the impending contest between Fury and Usyk as well as a possible matchup between Fury and Anthony Joshua.
When Usyk fights Fury, he might try to reopen that wound. It is anticipated that the Ukrainian will try to do that.
Frank Warren said, “Well, I would,” to Sky Sports. “Of course he will [try to do that].”
Warren, who co-promotes Fury, is not certain Usyk can stop the WBC champion, though.
The promoter said, “He had a worse cut against [Otto] Wallin.” “Tyson had a dreadful cut in that fight and won the fight convincingly with a bad cut, a real bad cut.”

After rejecting rumors that he is considering retirement, Fury provides a list of his upcoming opponents.
Fury has proven time and time again that he can handle pressure. Most recently, he survived knockdowns against Francis Ngannou and Deontay Wilder to maintain his undefeated record.
“He’s got plan A, B and C, and more importantly, he’s got a big heart,” Warren stated.
He is confident that Fury will be the one to exploit a weakness in this battle.
“One thing about Tyson, if he senses a crack or sees any weakness, he’s the biggest exploiter of it and that’s why it’s going to be such an exciting fight,” Warren stated.
Relive the 2023 fight that stunned the boxing world when Francis Ngannou defeated Tyson Fury.
However, Usyk might believe that there are some opportunities to take advantage of following the Ngannou fight, and I have no doubt that he will. He is an opponent.
“From his amateur days until now, he has been a competitor. He has fulfilled all requests made of him.”
Warren, however, thinks Fury will cause physical harm to Usyk: “As I’ve mentioned, and I’m shocked the so-called experts never picked up on it, his physique has always been his Achilles’ heel. Daniel Dubois was instructed to go take advantage of that, and he almost succeeded.”
Warren responded forcefully to the conspiracy claims around the rescheduling of Fury vs. Usyk during his speech on Toe2Toe.
Warren predicted that Tyson would knock him out. “Just as I had anticipated, he would finish Wilder out in the second round. I genuinely hope he does that.
“I believe he will stop him, but I also believe the battle will be really thrilling while it is going on.
“You’ve got two undefeated fighters, the best of their generation and we’ll find out who is the real deal on the 18th.”
