Marquez Values-Scantling, a wide receiver with the Green Bay Packers and the old Kansas City Chiefs, has agreed to a one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills.
In six NFL seasons, 29-year-old Valdes-Scantling has 186 receptions for 3,155 yards and 16 touchdowns.
The 6-foot-4 wide receiver caught 21 passes for 315 yards in the Chiefs’ 2017 regular season. In the third quarter of Kansas City’s Super Bowl LVIII triumph, Valdes-Scantling scored a touchdown with a 16-yard reception.
With the Packers in 2020, Valdes-Scantling had his best season with 690 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
He is seen as a danger downfield.
The move is part of the Bills’ offseason retooling of their wide receiver group. With the departure of players like Trent Sherfield, Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, and Deonte Harty, the team has added a number of new players, including Curtis Samuel, Valdes-Scantling, Chase Claypool, and second-round draft pick Keon Coleman.
