player for the Pittsburgh Steelers accused their head coach
Mike Tomlin was very angry when his player accused him of
straight games to teams that are eight games below 500. You want your team to perform as though the entire season depends on it, and it does. It was their head coach who made the statement, and it couldn’t have come at a worse time than it did for the players alone.
As has happened so frequently this season, it seems as though Mike Tomlin predicted his Pittsburgh Steelers squad would collapse, so much so that he sought to divert the focus of the public and media.
The sideline attire that Tomlin chose to wear—a variant that his staff also wore—spoke louder than the play of his squad. Rather than wearing his typical subdued single Steelers logo shirt and team jacket, Tomlin was wearing a long-sleeved shirt with the Steelers’ motto, “Justice, opportunity, freedom, equality, NFL.”
And X went crazy, as everyone who saw Tomlin in the shirt on the sidelines could have predicted.
“Is it possible for Steelers coach “Woke” Mike Tomlin to be fired for the absurd propaganda piece he’s calling a shirt?” A fan asked on Twitter.
No, they won’t, SMELLYWALMARTHILLBILLY@ChandlerJonesStiffarm.
At this point, Mike Tomlin is basically poking fun at himself by wearing a social justice jersey on the sidelines while guiding the worst team he has ever coached. Steelers supporters have had enough of this guy.
