The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are preventing them from making history in another way.

The Buccaneers, who won the weak NFC South division, defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, the reigning conference champions, in the wild-card round. The Tampa Bay defense kept Philadelphia to 276 yards of total offense while Baker Mayfield threw three touchdown passes as the Buccaneers won for the sixth time in their previous seven games.

The winner will play the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC title game on February 11 in Las Vegas in order to go to Super Bowl 58.
