Dolphins ink future deal with former Steelers wide receiver
The Miami Dolphins are focused on their team’s future, but many people are still watching the NFL playoffs.
The Dolphins announced on Wednesday that they had signed wide receiver Matthew Sexton to a future deal after the signing of eight practice squad players to reserve or future contracts on Tuesday.
At Eastern Michigan, where he played collegiately, Sexton, 26, caught 100 passes for 1,335 yards and nine touchdowns in 43 games.
After participating in the Spring League, he was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021 as an undrafted free agent. He has since played for the Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, and even the XFL’s Vegas Vipers. He hasn’t yet participated in an NFL regular-season game.
