Mike McDaniel is leaving the Miami Dolphins.
After 24 years, Mike leaves the Patriots after an incredible reign characterized by dominating season after season.
Mike made the statement from Foxborough, Massachusetts, the team’s headquarters, alongside Patriots owner Robert Kraft.
The amount of accomplishment that we were able to attain together through a great deal of hard work and the sacrifices of so many individuals has exceeded my greatest ambitions and expectations. Mike said we had a vision of establishing a winner and constructing a championship football team here.
Even though Tom Brady is no longer playing football, he still enjoys the game.
Belichick was a tough, no-nonsense man who gained notoriety for espousing the Patriot Way, a set of values centered around quality, planning, winning, and accountability. Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady guided the Patriots to nine Super Bowl trips, 17 division crowns, and 19 straight winning seasons.
The Brady/Belichick partnership developed into one of the most productive coach/quarterback combinations in NFL history. However, after Brady left the Patriots in March 2020, the group found it difficult to repeat its previous achievements. Since Brady left, the Patriots have a 29-38 record and have missed the playoffs three out of the last four seasons.
Following a dismal 4–13 year in which the Patriots finished last in their division, Belichick is leaving the team.
