Diontae Johnson Physically Removed From Steelers Coach
Pittsboro, PA Even though the offense has struggled this season, the elite wide receivers for the Pittsburgh Steelers haven’t held back when it comes to venting during or after games.
Wide receiver Diontae Johnson had to be physically separated from a member of the coaching staff during Week 11’s game against the Cleveland Browns, during which quarterback Kenny Pickett threw for just 106 yards. Following the incident, Johnson spoke with head coach Mike Tomlin on the sidelines.
Then there was Johnson, who was clearly furious on the sidelines on Sunday during the second half, to the point that rookie offensive tackle Broderick Jones had to take him up and carry him away from a member of the coaching staff, according to Mark Kaboly of The Athletic.
This resulted in a long sideline conversation between coach Mike Tomlin and Johnson during the give-and-take.
When questioned the next day about the altercation, Johnson responded, You’ll see the game.” That shouldn’t require me to say anything.
