Jessie, a Florida native, made seven appearances for the Lions in 2021. Before signing a contract with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2020, he began his career as a member of the Liberty Flames of Virginia in college.Jessie was just drafted by the lower-league XFL, but he ultimately decided to sign with the USFL, according to NBC Sports.
