First-Team All-Pro Selections for Two Steelers
With the regular season coming to an end and the playoffs about to kick off, the Associates Press revealed this week that the Pittsburgh Steelers have been selected for two First Teams All-Pro teams.
T.J. Watt, an outside linebacker, and Miles Killebrew, a special team member who was also selected to the Pro Bowl, were the two Steelers recognized as First-Team All-Pro players among the finest players in the league.
For the third time in his illustrious career, Watt led the NFL in sacks (19), setting a record. He is a strong contender for Defensive Player of the Year. In addition, he produced three forced fumbles, an interception, 68 total tackles, and 19 tackles for loss.
Due to a knee injury, Watt will miss the Steelers’ playoff opening against Buffalo, which will be very felt. It’s anticipated that he will need a few weeks to heal.
Killebrew has made a name for himself in the NFL as one of the top special teams players. Since joining the Steelers four seasons ago, he has blocked four punts; if Killebrew were to count as a member of his own club, that would be the second-highest total in the league during the same time frame.
