Regarding becoming knowledgeable about the rivalry: Every year, your knowledge grows. When you first come here, you pick things up quickly, but as time goes on, you pick up more knowledge that shapes you as a person.
Regarding J.J. McCarthy’s recruitment: J.J. was consistently excellent and highly courteous. He was an extremely competitive athlete. I had very elegant interactions with him and his family throughout.
Regarding Michigan’s red zone defense: There’s not a lot of information to go off of because they haven’t had many snaps down there.There, a yard’s worth of two or three makes the field smaller.
Regarding Jim Harbaugh’s legacy: We have simply avoided all outside distractions and concentrated on our team.
Regarding containing Michigan’s offensive: “We’re going to go out there and play physical, hold everybody accountable, and do our job.” The play after that is the most significant. Put an end to the run. Run with the object. Nothing compares to that.

Regarding the atmosphere at Michigan: I had no idea how significant that game was. And over the past two years, I’ve truly developed a completely new viewpoint, and our approach to the game has changed.
